Accumulating steam or hot water
An accumulating plant is often the
most economic solution when your electric power distributor offers a lower price for night
operation.

A boiler loads an accumulator tank
during the night, usually between 22.00 and 06.00 hrs.
@
The accumulated energy is then unloaded
during the day, when the price of electric power is higher.
@
An accumulator is also often used as a
buffer tank, especially in steam plants when the load varies a lot.
