Accumulating Steam
Accumulating steam is a process often
used by industry where the load varies over time.
@
To keep the boiler size down and at the
same time take advantage of lower electric power prices, an accumulator tank is loaded
during the night hours.
@
During the day the steam is unloaded
from the accumulator tank.
@
In order to keep the boiler power as low
as possible while loading the tank, a control computer calculates the necessary power in
relation to the number of loading hours available.
